In seventeen years of charitable giving, The Going To The Sun Rally has given back more than $500,000.00 to the communities that make Montana such a special place.
The Going To The Sun Rally donates to worthy Montana organizations through the generosity of rally participants and sponsors. The intention of the rally Board of Directors is to provide funds as directly as possible to local organizations that rely on private donations and provide a positive, meaningful benefit to Montanans in the communities we visit. We listen and respond to the suggestions and recommendations of people in these communities, as each community is unique in its needs. In general, we seek opportunities to support Montana based, Montana focused organizations that foster self-sufficiency, educational opportunity, leadership development, cultural enrichment, and environmental stewardship.
A major beneficiary of our fundraising efforts is the Friends of the Association of Montana Troopers. This fund helps Montana families who have lost loved ones in the line of duty. See list above for other recipients.
